Job Purpose
The Data and Analytics Manager will provide technical and operational leadership for the Data, Digital Health Information Systems, and Modeling pillar to support an effective Ebola response. This role is crucial for ensuring the availability of reliable, real-time data to guide decision-making. The incumbent will strengthen national systems for Ebola data management and governance, ensure the integration and harmonization of digital surveillance systems, and guarantee the quality and strategic use of data. Additionally, the role involves developing and supporting advanced analyses and epidemiological modeling to inform response strategies at both the country office and Ministry levels, ultimately leading to improved data-driven decision-making and strengthened national capacity.
Responsibilities
The Data and Analytics Manager will be responsible for strengthening national systems for Ebola data management and governance, ensuring the integration and harmonization of digital surveillance systems, and guaranteeing the quality and strategic use of data. This includes developing and supporting advanced analyses and epidemiological modeling to inform decision-making at the COUSP and Ministry levels. Key expected results include the establishment of harmonized and functional data systems at the national level, ensuring high-quality, real-time Ebola data availability, and the development of operational decision-making dashboards. The role will also involve producing regular epidemiological analyses and enhancing data-driven decision-making processes. Furthermore, the incumbent will be tasked with strengthening national capacity in data and digital health systems, contributing to a more robust and responsive public health infrastructure. This position requires a proactive approach to managing complex data environments and fostering collaboration among stakeholders to achieve impactful results in disease response.
Work Experience
A minimum of 8 years of relevant work experience in public health, health informatics, digital health, data management, data analytics, disease surveillance, epidemiological modeling, Health Data Management, or Epidemic Response.
