Job Purpose
The Programme Associate provides specialized programme and administrative support to facilitate the development, implementation, and monitoring of UNICEF's programmes within the Global Programme Division, Health Section. This role is crucial for ensuring effective programme delivery and compliance with organizational rules. The incumbent will engage in data analysis, budget tracking, reporting, and coordination with internal and external stakeholders. They will exercise judgment, anticipate needs, and recommend actions to enhance programme planning, implementation, and reporting. The position supports the Associate Director PHE and senior staff, contributing to operational efficiency and maximizing impact, particularly in areas of digital innovation and programme cycle management.
Responsibilities
Key responsibilities include Project Management and Implementing Partnership Coordination to ensure smooth collaboration and timely processes. Data Management, Analysis & Reporting are essential for generating actionable insights for decision-making. Grant Management, Budget Monitoring and Reporting involve tracking utilization and supporting donor submissions. The role provides Secretarial Support to the Incident Management Support Team and Administrative Support for the Associate Director PHE and senior staff. Capacity Building & Event Coordination for workshops and learning activities is also a key function. The Programme Associate will also provide Flexibility & Surge Support to adapt to changing priorities and offer backup across the team, ensuring continuous operational effectiveness. This includes creating project plans, objectives, and deliverables, tracking resources, identifying risks, analyzing data, evaluating information, summarizing findings, making decisions in time-sensitive situations, and assessing the impact of solutions. The role also involves utilizing AI-powered tools for data analysis and applying prompts to improve quality.
Work Experience
A minimum of six years of administrative or clerical work experience is required.
