Job Purpose
The Digital Impact Officer (Infrastructure) reports to the Digital Impact Specialist and is responsible for overseeing the planning, implementation, and maintenance of ICT and telecommunications infrastructure across all UNICEF offices in Bangladesh. This role ensures high availability of systems and resources to support the effective and efficient delivery of results for children. The incumbent provides technical and operational support in the implementation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of ICT infrastructure, network systems, telecommunications, and business continuity operations, adhering to established policies, guidelines, and service level agreements, and aligning with the country programme management plan.
Responsibilities
The Digital Impact Officer (Infrastructure) will be responsible for the day-to-day management and support of UNICEF's ICT and telecommunications infrastructure in Bangladesh. This includes planning, deploying, and maintaining network systems, servers, and other IT hardware and software. The role involves ensuring the security, reliability, and performance of all ICT infrastructure, implementing and managing backup and disaster recovery solutions, and providing technical support to end-users and field offices. The officer will also be involved in ICT procurement processes, vendor management, and contract oversight, ensuring compliance with UNICEF policies and standards. Additionally, the position requires monitoring service level agreements, managing ICT budgets, and contributing to the development and implementation of ICT strategies and work plans. The officer will also support the integration of Technology for Development (T4D) initiatives and provide guidance on ICT best practices to enhance programme delivery and innovation.
Work Experience
A minimum of one year of professional experience in information technology management, ICT infrastructure, network management, telecommunications, or related fields within a large international organization or corporation is required.
