Job Purpose

The Fund-Raising Officer (Data & Insights) will coordinate the India CO’s database function, ensuring data systems support fundraising and programmatic decision-making with integrity, accuracy, and compliance. This role will develop and oversee database strategies, manage database administrators, and ensure optimal performance, security, and accessibility of data assets. Under the direct supervision of the Fundraising Manager, the officer will be the focal point for maintaining data quality, facilitating data integration, establishing data governance, and enabling advanced data analytics for evidence-based decision-making. The position requires technical expertise in secure systems and an understanding of fundraising needs to translate data into strategies for donor acquisition, retention, and long-term engagement, playing a strategic part in fundraising operations.

Responsibilities

1. Database Management: Oversee the India CO’s database function, ensuring data systems support fundraising and programmatic decision-making with integrity, accuracy, and compliance. 2. Database Performance Monitoring and Optimization: Ensure optimal performance, security, and accessibility of all data assets. 3. Data Integrity, Security, and Compliance: Act as the focal point for maintaining data quality, facilitating smooth data integration across platforms, establishing data governance, and ensuring compliance with data privacy standards. 4. Advanced Usage of Data and Analytics: Enable advanced data analytics in support of evidence-based decision-making and contribute to the organization’s digital transformation by supporting scalable, cloud-based data architecture. 5. Database Maintenance and Support: Perform system maintenance, data transformation, and develop data access policies. 6. Collaboration and Capacity Building: Work with the IG Manager to implement database strategies and support overall data governance.

Work Experience

At least 1 year of relevant professional work experience in Information Technology, Information Communication Technology, database administration, data analytics, data management, or data optimization. Experience should include progressively increasing responsibilities, with direct oversight of database performance, integrity, and security.
