Job Purpose
The People and Culture Specialist, P-3, is accountable for implementing HR services that enhance client capacity to achieve business goals. This role involves anticipating HR-related needs, developing strategic plans and solutions that align HR management with business objectives, and ensuring the effective delivery of HR services. The specialist will contribute to strategic human resources initiatives, manage the implementation of assigned HR services, and support learning and capacity development. Additionally, the role requires HR data analytics to inform decision-making and support the organization's mission of advocating for and protecting the rights of every child.
Responsibilities
As a People and Culture Specialist, you will be responsible for providing strategic HR business partnering to clients, anticipating their needs and developing proactive solutions. You will contribute to the development and implementation of HR strategies that align with UNICEF's overall objectives and the specific needs of the country office. This includes managing the end-to-end delivery of assigned HR services, ensuring compliance with regulations and policies, and promoting best practices. A key responsibility is to support learning and capacity development initiatives for staff, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional growth. You will also be tasked with conducting HR data analytics to provide insights into workforce trends, identify areas for improvement, and support evidence-based decision-making. This role requires strong communication and advocacy skills to effectively engage with stakeholders and promote HR initiatives. Experience in HR Information Technology and Business Management is essential for optimizing HR processes and systems.
Work Experience
At least 5 years of increasingly responsible professional experience in human resource management within an international organization and/or a large corporation is required.
