Job Purpose
The Resource Mobilization Officer will play a key role in implementing UNICEF Cameroon's new Resource Mobilization Strategy, supporting the RM Officer NO2. The primary objective is to assist in the implementation and coordination of proposals with institutional donors, including narrative writing in collaboration with programme sections and the PAC. This role also involves coordinating the RM strategy for the private sector, foundations, UNICEF National Committees, and individual giving. The position aims to strengthen resource mobilization efforts to advance children's rights and ensure continued support for UNICEF's vital work in Cameroon.
Responsibilities
Assist in monitoring and analyzing donor policies on humanitarian assistance, identifying potential funding sources for transition and development, and tracking competitors for funds. Develop strategies for raising local funds, providing necessary support, guidelines, and tools. Monitor, record, and track contributions, ensuring donor requirements are met. Follow up on funding situations for programme areas and update funding charts. Build and maintain effective relationships with donors, including the NatCom network. Consolidate the quality of internal reporting, including situation updates and project proposals. Contribute to the quality check of donor reports for conformity with proposals, donor requirements, and results-based management. Strengthen the capacity of section staff on donor outreach strategies. Ensure coherence between upstream and downstream partnership agreements. Provide donors with information on UNICEF Cameroon's operations and financial needs. Support the development of communication plans for resource mobilization, identifying news hooks and creative opportunities. Implement the Individual Giving process in alignment with HQ guidance and in cooperation with the Government of Cameroon.
Work Experience
At least 1 year of relevant work experience in communication, public relations, donor relations, or resource mobilization at a professional level within UNICEF or similar humanitarian organizations.
