Job Purpose
Under the supervision of the Nutrition Specialist, the Information Management Officer will focus on the strategic use of nutrition data, ensuring optimal utilization of existing systems like KoboToolBox, SINUT, and DHIS2. The role involves developing analytical dashboards and transforming raw data into actionable insights. This is crucial for supporting programming, optimizing resource allocation, and demonstrating the impact of UNICEF's initiatives. The officer will play a key role in enhancing data-driven decision-making to better serve children and communities, contributing to the realization of children's rights and UNICEF's mission.
Responsibilities
The Information Management Officer will be responsible for data collection and organization, ensuring the integrity and accuracy of information. This includes performing validation and quality control checks on collected data to maintain high standards. A significant part of the role involves the analysis and synthesis of data to identify trends, patterns, and key findings. The officer will focus on the strategic use of nutrition data to inform programmatic decisions and resource allocation. They will provide decision-making support to stakeholders by presenting clear and concise data-driven insights. Capacity building and support will be provided to colleagues and partners on information management tools and practices. The role also entails developing and maintaining information management products, such as reports and dashboards, and ensuring overall quality assurance of data and information systems. Coordination with relevant internal and external stakeholders will be essential, and there will be a requirement to support GIS-related activities.
Work Experience
At least two years of professional experience in the development, implementation, maintenance, and evaluation of Information Management Systems.
