Job Purpose
Internships with UNICEF provide eligible students with invaluable experience in the organization's global mission and core values. The Global Shared Services Centre (GSSC) in Budapest offers these opportunities across various departments, including Communication, Data & Analytics, Communications & Technical Writing, People & Culture, and Learning & Development. This internship is an excellent pathway to understanding UNICEF's operational framework and contributing to its overarching goals for children worldwide.
Responsibilities
Interns will support specific departmental functions based on their assigned area. In Communication, responsibilities include visual design tasks, writing articles for internal platforms, providing administrative SharePoint support, assisting with internal communications campaigns, supporting staff engagement initiatives, and contributing to the GSSC's podcast. For Data & Analytics, interns will work with diverse datasets, design and conduct analyses, clean and prepare data, develop dashboards, document methodologies, and contribute to data projects. Communications & Technical Writing interns will draft newsletters, gather information for presentations, and provide portfolio stabilization support. People & Culture interns will assist with HR administration projects, manage and analyze HR data, prepare project documentation, identify process improvements, conduct quality checks, and provide training and general administrative support. Learning & Development interns will support online course building and testing, assist with learning platform migration, finalize e-learning content, and support the delivery of online sessions.
Work Experience
No prior work experience is typically required for UNICEF internships. However, relevant academic projects, volunteer work, or previous internship experiences may be considered an asset.
