Job Purpose
The Senior Digital Impact Associate will perform specialized activities pertaining to UNICEF’s ICT systems, including desktop administration, server operations, hardware, and software. This role involves technical support in testing and implementing new application system releases, modules, and functionalities, as well as systems administration tasks. It is a skilled position that may involve providing procedural leadership to junior staff or serving as a focal point for a systems project. The position may involve supervisory responsibilities or be non-supervisory if highly technical, focusing on specialized ICT functions to ensure the smooth operation and advancement of UNICEF's digital infrastructure.
Responsibilities
Key functions include providing ICT Office Customer Service Support, ensuring efficient and effective assistance to users. This involves troubleshooting technical issues, managing user accounts, and providing guidance on ICT policies and procedures. ICT Administration is a core responsibility, encompassing the management and maintenance of various ICT systems, including servers, networks, and databases. This includes performing regular updates, patches, and system checks to ensure optimal performance and security. Cybersecurity and General Protection of Digital Assets are critical, requiring the implementation and enforcement of security protocols to safeguard UNICEF's data and systems against threats. This involves monitoring security alerts, conducting risk assessments, and promoting security awareness among staff. Strategic Planning and Implementation involve contributing to the development and execution of ICT strategies aligned with UNICEF's goals. This may include participating in the planning and rollout of new technologies, evaluating system requirements, and ensuring that ICT solutions support the organization's mission and operational needs effectively.
Work Experience
At least 7 years of relevant work experience in information technology, requiring systematic methods of troubleshooting and problem solving is required.
