Job Purpose

The Digital Governance and Platforms (DGP) team within UNICEF’s Division of Global Communication and Advocacy (GCA) is crucial for managing UNICEF’s public-facing digital ecosystem. This consultancy supports two key priorities: implementing structured governance workflows via Service Gateway and mapping operational workflows for the new Website, Editorial and Governance (WEG) section. The goal is to enhance operational efficiency, strengthen compliance, and clarify roles and processes. The consultant will work on identifying and assessing WEG section workflows for implementation in ServiceNow and coordinating the adoption of DGP governance services in ServiceNow (Service Gateway), ensuring progress is tracked and workflows are effectively implemented with vendors and internal teams.

Responsibilities

The consultant will be responsible for identifying and assessing existing workflows within the Website, Editorial and Governance (WEG) section for potential implementation in ServiceNow. This includes analyzing current processes to determine their suitability for platform-based workflow management. Additionally, the consultant will coordinate the implementation and adoption of Digital Governance and Platforms (DGP) governance services within ServiceNow, specifically focusing on the Service Gateway. This involves working closely with internal teams and external vendors to ensure smooth integration and user uptake. A key aspect of the role is to ensure that progress against defined deliverables is consistently tracked and reported. The consultant will also facilitate effective communication and collaboration among diverse stakeholders, including global, regional, and country-level teams, as well as vendors. This role requires strong problem-solving skills to identify workflow inefficiencies and propose optimization strategies, ensuring that the implemented solutions align with UNICEF's digital governance standards and contribute to improved operational efficiency and compliance across the organization's digital platforms.

Work Experience

A minimum of 5 years' experience in digital governance, web management, or digital project coordination, with proven experience in supporting the implementation of operational workflows and coordinating multi-stakeholder initiatives. Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage tasks remotely is also required.
