The Digital Governance and Platforms (DGP) team within the Division of Global Communication and Advocacy (GCA) is crucial for managing UNICEF’s public-facing digital ecosystem, ensuring efficient and compliant governance.

Job Purpose

The Digital Governance Operations Consultant will support the Digital Governance and Platforms (DGP) team in the operational implementation, coordination, and follow-up of key digital initiatives, including the Web Content Lifecycle Project and the deployment of a corporate Web Archiving solution. This role focuses on driving operational delivery, tracking progress against milestones, and ensuring the successful rollout and adoption of these initiatives across global, regional, and country offices. The consultant will work closely with vendors and internal teams to resolve issues and maintain momentum, ensuring UNICEF's web presence remains relevant, trustworthy, and sustainable, thereby improving operational efficiency and reducing digital risks.

Responsibilities

Coordinate the operational implementation of the Web Content Lifecycle Project and the corporate Web Archiving solution across UNICEF's global, regional, and country offices. Track project delivery against defined milestones, ensuring timely completion of tasks and deliverables. Facilitate communication and collaboration between internal teams (e.g., IT, Communications, Legal) and external vendors to resolve issues and maintain project momentum. Support the rollout and adoption of new digital governance processes and platforms by providing guidance and follow-up. Monitor the effectiveness of implemented solutions and identify areas for operational improvement. Ensure adherence to digital governance frameworks and organizational standards in all operational activities. Prepare regular progress reports for management, highlighting achievements, challenges, and next steps. Assist in the coordination of stakeholder engagement activities to ensure alignment and buy-in for digital initiatives. Support the development and refinement of operational workflows related to web content management and archiving. Act as a point of contact for operational queries related to the digital initiatives. Ensure that all operational activities contribute to strengthening compliance and reducing digital risks across UNICEF's web presence.

Work Experience

A minimum of 5 years of experience in digital governance, web management, or digital project coordination. Proven experience supporting the implementation of operational projects and coordinating multi-stakeholder initiatives. Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage tasks remotely, maintaining communication and meeting deadlines in a virtual environment.
