Job Purpose
The Education Officer will provide professional technical, operational, and administrative assistance throughout the programming process for education programmes/projects within the Country Programme. This includes development planning, delivery of results, preparing, executing, managing, and implementing a variety of technical and administrative programme tasks. The role facilitates programme development, implementation, progress monitoring, evaluation, and reporting, ensuring that education initiatives effectively contribute to UNICEF's mission of realizing the rights of every child, especially the most disadvantaged. The officer will play a key role in supporting the country programme's education objectives and contributing to positive outcomes for children.
Responsibilities
Support to programme development and planning, including research, analysis, and formulation of programme strategies. Programme management, monitoring, and delivery of results, ensuring timely and effective implementation of education projects. Technical and operational support to programme implementation, providing guidance and expertise to partners and stakeholders. Networking and partnership building with government, NGOs, and other UN agencies to enhance collaboration and resource mobilization. Innovation, knowledge management, and capacity building, identifying best practices and promoting learning within the education sector. This includes monitoring project progress, evaluating outcomes, and preparing comprehensive reports. The officer will also be responsible for managing resources allocated to education programmes and ensuring compliance with UNICEF standards and procedures.
Work Experience
At least 2 years of relevant work experience in Research, Program planning, Management, and Research in Education, or any other related fields.
