Job Purpose
The Budget Officer (NO-2) position in Port-au-Prince, Haiti, is crucial for ensuring the effective management of financial resources within UNICEF Haiti's operations. Responsibilities
The Budget Officer will be responsible for supporting effective budget planning, financial monitoring, donor reporting, and fund management within the UNICEF Haiti Country Office. Key duties include assisting in the formulation of financial strategies and concepts, conducting budget analysis focused on achieving results, and managing contribution budgets through planning and allocation. The role involves managing financial dashboard reports to provide insights into financial performance and overseeing financial reports related to resource mobilization and donor requirements. Support for VISION fund management and accurate cost distribution, including payroll, are also integral to the position. The officer will ensure compliance with financial policies and procedures, contributing to the overall financial health and accountability of the office, thereby enabling the continued delivery of essential services to children in Haiti.
Work Experience
A minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience in Programme management and budgeting is required. Experience in international organizations, particularly in development, fragile settings, or humanitarian contexts, is desirable. Familiarity with EU financial reporting and ERP systems is also considered an advantage.
