Job Purpose
Under the supervision of the Operations Manager and in close collaboration with the Deputy Representative (Programme), the Digital Impact Associate supports the implementation of Digital Impact (DI) and Artificial Intelligence (AI) solutions to advance child-related outcomes in development and humanitarian programmes. This includes contributing to digital transformation efforts, from AI and data digitization to strengthening inclusive systems and digital skills, while contributing to the office's digital roadmap. The role also involves supporting UNICEF's digital impact operations, including workstation administration, connectivity and server management, and user support. The incumbent manages both technical and procedural tasks, such as maintaining documentation and handling user requests.
Responsibilities
The Digital Impact Associate promotes the design, deployment, and responsible scaling of digital and AI solutions for programmes, such as SharePoint, data tools, and programmatic applications, while ensuring reliable digital operations. All activities are conducted in compliance with UNICEF's standards for ethical, secure, and rights-based technologies, particularly concerning data protection and privacy-by-design principles. This includes contributing to the office's digital transformation efforts, from AI and data digitization to strengthening inclusive systems and digital skills. The associate will also support the day-to-day digital impact operations, including workstation administration, managing connectivity and servers, and providing installation, configuration, and user assistance. Maintaining documentation and managing user requests are also key aspects of the role, ensuring smooth operational flow and adherence to UNICEF's technological standards.
Work Experience
A minimum of six years of practical experience in information technology, artificial intelligence, or innovation, including the use of systematic problem-solving and troubleshooting methods, is required.
