Job Purpose
The Quality Assurance Associate will provide quality assurance, compliance oversight, and transactional review across Operations and Programme interface areas. This includes ensuring adherence to UNICEF policies, internal controls, risk management standards, and effective use of corporate tools. The role involves quality assurance for Programme Cooperation Agreements (PCAs) and Programme Documents (PDs), supporting internal controls, reporting, and audit processes. Additionally, the Associate will contribute to process standardization, provide capacity support, and perform general support duties within the scope of the position. This role is crucial for maintaining operational integrity and supporting the effective delivery of UNICEF's mandate in Lao PDR.
Responsibilities
The Quality Assurance Associate is responsible for ensuring the quality and compliance of various operational and programmatic processes. Key accountabilities include conducting quality assurance reviews for Programme Cooperation Agreements (PCAs) and Programme Documents (PDs), ensuring they align with UNICEF policies and standards, and utilizing eTools effectively for this purpose. The Associate will also oversee internal controls, assist with reporting requirements, and provide support during audits. A significant part of the role involves contributing to the standardization of operational processes and providing capacity building support to staff to enhance compliance and efficiency. The position will also handle general support duties as required, ensuring smooth operations and adherence to best practices in quality assurance and risk management within the UNICEF Country Office in Vientiane.
Work Experience
A minimum of six years of relevant work experience in quality assurance, compliance, operations, or programme support is required. Experience with UN or UNICEF operational procedures and systems is highly desirable.
