Job Purpose
The Digital Education Officer reports to the Chief Education or Education Specialist for guidance. This entry-level professional role supports the digital transformation of education programmes and projects. The incumbent will assist in research, data collection, and analysis of digital education trends, such as school connectivity and digital learning. They will learn and apply UNICEF procedures to contribute to programme development and implementation within the Country Programme. The role also supports UNICEF’s engagement in digital transformation initiatives, including the Giga initiative for school connectivity, and assists other programme sections with digital transformation activities.
Responsibilities
Support the development and planning of digital education programmes. Manage programmes, monitor progress, and deliver results in digital education. Provide technical and operational support for the implementation of school connectivity and digital learning initiatives. Engage in networking, partnership building, and resource mobilization for digital education efforts. Drive innovation, knowledge management, and capacity building within the digital education space. Assist in the design of digital transformation activities for various programme sections, including health, nutrition, and child/social protection. Contribute to research and data analysis on digital education trends and their impact on children's learning outcomes. Ensure adherence to UNICEF procedures and guidelines in all programme-related activities. Support the integration of digital solutions into existing educational frameworks and strategies. Facilitate knowledge sharing and best practices in digital education among stakeholders.
Work Experience
At least 1 year of relevant work experience in Education, Digital Education, Education Research, Programme Management, Research, or Programme Planning.
