Job Purpose

The consultant will consolidate key elements from the five annual COARs (2021-2025) into a high-level advocacy document. This report will capture the cumulative results for children achieved over the five-year period, highlighting significant shifts in the situation of children in Uganda due to UNICEF programming and advocacy. It will also showcase key achievements from collaborations with stakeholders, specifically detailing transformative donor contributions and the impact of flexible funding on the implementation of the five-year Country Programme. The report will compellingly narrate the story of progress for each of the six outcomes of the 2021-2025 Country Programmes, providing a comprehensive overview of UNICEF's impact.

Responsibilities

The consultant will undertake a literature review of the COAR Reports from 2021 to 2025 and the CPD 2021-2025. In collaboration with the Deputy Representative, the consultant will draft and facilitate consensus on the outline for the five-year CPD report. Key cumulative high-level results, partnerships, and lessons learned will be mapped out. The consultant will then draft the summative five-year CPD report, incorporating feedback and addressing comments received. Finally, the consultant will work with an internal graphic designer to finalize and publish the CPD Five Year Report, ensuring a polished and impactful final product that effectively communicates UNICEF's achievements.

Work Experience

A minimum of 5 years of proven experience and a demonstrated ability to write clearly, concisely, and understandably are required. Prior experience editing and designing UNICEF Country Office reports is considered desirable.
