Job Purpose
The Consultant will provide ongoing solutions architecture, cloud infrastructure, data engineering, DevOps, and enterprise application support services for UNICEF Supply Division digitalization initiatives. This includes support for enterprise platforms, analytics solutions, integrations, data warehouse modernization, and application infrastructure setup and optimization for a period of 11 months. The role involves reporting to the Project Officer and working under the general supervision of the Business Analysis Manager within the Information Communication Technology team at Supply Division. Close collaboration and matrix management with Supply Division business units, technical teams, external vendors, and implementation partners are essential. The consultancy operates on a deliverables-based engagement model, with technical priorities and activities potentially evolving based on operational requirements, programme priorities, infrastructure needs, and digital transformation initiatives.
Responsibilities
The Consultant will provide ongoing architecture, cloud engineering, DevOps, data engineering, analytics, application modernization, infrastructure support, and technical advisory services within the approved level of effort and contract ceiling. This includes supporting enterprise digital platforms and cloud-based applications, leveraging proven experience with Microsoft Azure infrastructure, deployments, and application support. The role requires hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines, containerization, and DevOps practices, as well as experience in data engineering and ETL/ELT workflows. The consultant will contribute to the modernization of data warehouses and the setup and optimization of application infrastructure, ensuring seamless integration and efficient operation of digital solutions supporting UNICEF's supply chain and digitalization efforts.
Work Experience
Minimum of 5 years supporting enterprise digital platforms and cloud-based applications. Proven experience with Microsoft Azure infrastructure, deployments, and application support. Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines, containerization, and DevOps practices. Experience in data engineering, ETL/ELT workflows.
