Job Purpose
The UNICEF Haiti Country Office is launching the second cohort of the Young Talent Initiative, offering a 26-week internship program. This initiative aims to build a pool of qualified, motivated, and dynamic young Haitian professionals by immersing them in UNICEF's mission, values, and activities. Interns will gain practical experience, mentorship, and support from UNICEF professionals, enhancing their academic skills. The program seeks to expose future leaders to UNICEF's operations and contribute to their professional development. Outstanding interns may be considered for future opportunities within UNICEF Haiti, contributing to a sustainable impact for children and communities.
Responsibilities
The intern will support the activities of the section in Port-au-Prince for a duration of twenty-six (26) weeks. Specific responsibilities will be detailed based on the section's needs and the intern's field of study. This will involve contributing to ongoing projects, assisting with research and data collection, participating in meetings and workshops, and supporting the development and implementation of program activities. The intern will work under the guidance of section chiefs and UNICEF professionals, gaining practical experience in child protection, health, nutrition, WASH, or social protection sectors. They will be expected to assist in drafting reports, preparing presentations, and other communication materials. The role requires active participation in team activities and a commitment to UNICEF's values and objectives, contributing to the organization's mission to protect and promote the rights of children in Haiti.
