Job Purpose

The UNICEF Haiti Country Office, as part of its commitment to developing young Haitian talent, offers a 26-week internship in Health and Nutrition, focusing on Database Management. This program aims to immerse interns in UNICEF's mission and operations, providing practical experience to enhance their academic skills. The selected intern will support the Health and Nutrition section, contributing to data collection, organization, analysis, and reporting, thereby gaining valuable professional experience and potentially being considered for future opportunities within UNICEF Haiti's talent roster.

Responsibilities

The intern will support the Health and Nutrition section by assisting with the collection, compilation, organization, and updating of databases related to Health and Nutrition programs. This includes filing, archiving, and managing data from field offices, partners, and national systems. The intern will also contribute to consolidating programmatic data from various sources for monitoring and reporting purposes and participate in data quality control by identifying inconsistencies, duplicates, missing data, or entry errors. Furthermore, the intern will assist in analyzing data for key Health and Nutrition indicators, preparing dashboards, charts, and analytical tools. They will support program progress monitoring against established targets and contribute to identifying trends and challenges from available data. Finally, the intern will aid in the preparation of reports and information management tasks within the section.

Work Experience

No specific work experience is required, but practical experience in data management or related fields is beneficial.
