Job Purpose
The UNICEF Haiti Country Office is offering a 26-week internship in Youth Engagement as part of its Youth Talent Initiative. This program aims to build a pool of qualified, motivated young Haitian professionals by providing them with significant immersion in UNICEF's mission, values, and activities. The internship offers structured experience, mentorship, and practical learning opportunities with UNICEF section chiefs and professionals. Successful interns may be considered for future opportunities within the UNICEF Haiti talent roster, contributing to a positive impact on children and communities.
Responsibilities
The Youth Engagement Intern will support the implementation of UNICEF's Social and Behavioural Change (SBC) activities, with a focus on youth engagement, digital innovation, and community participation. The role aims to strengthen youth mobilization as agents of change, utilizing both proximity and digital tools to promote child rights and support programmatic priorities in Haiti. Key responsibilities include supporting the implementation of SBC activities related to youth engagement by integrating innovative physical and digital participation approaches. The intern will also assist in implementing community engagement strategies to promote child rights and enhance active youth participation. Furthermore, the intern will contribute to the implementation of digital communication strategies for social and behavioural change, leveraging social media, interactive platforms, and communication channels to amplify youth voices and initiatives.
