Job Purpose

The UNICEF Haiti Young Talent Initiative aims to build a pool of qualified young Haitian professionals. This 26-week internship program offers a structured experience with mentorship and practical learning opportunities within UNICEF's mission and activities. It exposes interns to UNICEF's operations, enhancing their academic skills through practical application. The goal is to develop a national roster of talented individuals who can contribute to positive impact for children and communities, with potential consideration for future opportunities within the UNICEF Haiti office.

Responsibilities

The interns will support the Child Protection section's activities at the Les Cayes field office, ensuring timely and compliant support. Key responsibilities include data monitoring and analysis, assisting in program development and planning, supporting programmatic activities, and aiding the CTO's tasks. Interns will participate in field missions and events, contribute to program management, monitoring, and results achievement, provide administrative support, assist in taking meeting notes and drafting minutes, and support the execution of programmatic visits. This role requires adherence to UNICEF rules, procedures, and principles while working within a multicultural and multidisciplinary team.

Work Experience

No specific work experience is required, but a strong academic record and exemplary behavior are essential. The internship itself provides the primary work experience.
