The Multimedia Communication Internship specifically supports the Communication and Advocacy Section in its daily media monitoring and communication activities for 26 weeks in Port-au-Prince. The internship's overarching goal is to enrich interns' academic experience through hands-on work and familiarize them with UNICEF's operations, contributing to UNICEF's communication efforts in Haiti by producing and editing high-quality photo and video content, and managing multimedia resources.
Responsibilities
Under the supervision of the Section Chief, the Multimedia Communication Intern will support the Communication and Advocacy Section's daily activities. This includes conducting daily monitoring of traditional and digital media, including social networks, to identify relevant information on the situation in Haiti. The intern will contribute to preparing monitoring reports and brief analyses for the communication team. They will also participate in drafting simple content such as publications, internal notes, and short texts. Additionally, the intern will support the team in implementing communication activities and awareness campaigns. Assistance will be provided in preparing and managing logistics for national and international media missions, including briefings, field support, and documentation needs. The intern will also help document field activities by taking notes, tracking photos, and providing logistical support. Finally, transversal support will be offered to other communication initiatives as needed, ensuring a comprehensive contribution to the section's objectives.
