Job Purpose
The UNICEF Haiti office is launching the second cohort of its Young Talent Initiative, offering a 26-week internship program. This program aims to build a pool of qualified, motivated young Haitian professionals by immersing them in UNICEF's mission, values, and activities. Interns will gain practical experience, mentorship, and support from UNICEF professionals. Outstanding participants may be selected for the UNICEF Haiti national talent roster and considered for future opportunities, contributing to a better world for children and communities in Haiti.
Responsibilities
The intern will support the Deputy Representative Programme's office functions, focusing on programme coordination, planning, data analysis, analytical monitoring, and process improvement. This role involves collaboration with programme sections and field offices, providing cross-cutting exposure to UNICEF operations in a complex humanitarian and development context. Key responsibilities include:
- Monitoring programmatic priorities and inter-sectoral coordination actions.
- Supporting the analysis, consolidation, and interpretation of programmatic, operational, and monitoring data.
- Contributing to the preparation of dashboards, data visualizations, analytical summaries, and monitoring tools.
- Participating in the design, implementation, development, and maintenance of SharePoint spaces and collaborative tools for programme coordination and information management.
- Supporting the development and improvement of planning and coordination tools, processes, and mechanisms.
- Contributing to the preparation of briefing notes, presentations, and meeting minutes.
