Job Purpose

This internship aims to provide university students and professionals with practical experience to enrich their educational journey while contributing to UNICEF's mission. The intern will support the communication efforts in the Manaus office, focusing on the Amazon region and strategic national actions. This role involves producing content, monitoring media, organizing information, supporting events, and interacting with various stakeholders, including government, civil society, and communication professionals. The internship is designed to foster diversity and inclusion, encouraging applications from underrepresented groups and low-income youth, while upholding UNICEF's zero-tolerance policy on misconduct.

Responsibilities

The intern will support UNICEF's communication work in the Manaus region and contribute to strategic national initiatives. Key responsibilities include conducting interviews, gathering information, and producing informative texts, life stories, and digital content on UNICEF's priority themes and projects. The intern will also collect and organize information to support meetings, events, and advocacy activities related to violence prevention and adolescent opportunities. Tasks involve managing contact lists, compiling media clippings, organizing communication materials for regional projects, participating in team and partner meetings, and assisting with communication to local groups and partners. The intern will collaborate on various office activities as needed, contributing to the overall goals of the UNICEF Manaus office.
