Job Purpose
The purpose of this consultancy is to provide technical and coordination support to the functions of the Local Education Group (LEG) Secretariat and to support the coordination of the Global Partnership for Education (GPE) initiative in Angola. The consultancy will support efficient and effective coordination among the Ministry of Education, UNICEF, the United Kingdom Embassy, GPE Secretariat, grant agents, development partners, civil society organizations, and other LEG members to ensure successful implementation and monitoring of GPE-related activities and grants. The consultant will support inclusive and evidence-based policy dialogue, facilitate communication among LEG members and GPE stakeholders, strengthen coordination mechanisms, and support the preparation, implementation, monitoring, and reporting processes associated with GPE grants in Angola.
Responsibilities
Provide technical and coordination support to the Local Education Group (LEG) Secretariat. Support the coordination of the Global Partnership for Education (GPE) initiative in Angola. Facilitate efficient and effective coordination among the Ministry of Education, UNICEF, the United Kingdom Embassy, GPE Secretariat, grant agents, development partners, civil society organizations, and other LEG members. Ensure successful implementation and monitoring of GPE-related activities and grants. Support inclusive and evidence-based policy dialogue. Facilitate communication among LEG members and GPE stakeholders. Strengthen coordination mechanisms. Support the preparation, implementation, monitoring, and reporting processes associated with GPE grants in Angola.
Work Experience
At least 5 years in International Development, Coordination Sector, or Education. At least 3 years of liaison and interaction experience with government counterparts.
Skills
Knowledge of Global Partnership for Education policies and procedures, Expertise in sector coordination, Knowledge of Angolan education sector policies, Experience in strategic institutional communication, Experience in supporting policy making processes
