Job Purpose
The purpose of this temporary consultancy is to provide technical assistance to UNICEF Algeria and the three partner ministries for the contextualization, training of trainers, supervised duplication, coaching, follow-up and capitalization of the ADOLECENT KIT approach, in reference to the Life Skills and Citizenship Education (LSCE) framework. This role will involve adapting the ADOLESCENT KIT to the local context, developing training materials, and delivering training sessions for trainers. The consultant will also be responsible for supervising the rollout of the kit within the ministries, providing ongoing coaching and support to ensure effective implementation and quality. Furthermore, the consultancy includes a component of capitalization, documenting lessons learned and best practices to inform future initiatives and ensure the sustainability of the approach. The ultimate goal is to strengthen the capacity of the partner ministries to effectively implement life skills and citizenship education programs for adolescents.
Responsibilities
Provide technical assistance to UNICEF Algeria and three partner ministries for the contextualization of the ADOLESCENT KIT. Develop and adapt training materials for the ADOLESCENT KIT and Life Skills and Citizenship Education (LSCE) framework. Conduct training of trainers (ToT) sessions for selected participants from the partner ministries. Supervise the duplication and rollout of the ADOLESCENT KIT within the government ministries. Provide coaching and follow-up support to trainers and frontline actors implementing the kit. Monitor the quality of implementation and provide feedback for improvement. Document lessons learned, best practices, and challenges encountered during the consultancy. Prepare capitalization reports on the ADOLESCENT KIT approach and its implementation. Collaborate with ministry officials and UNICEF staff to ensure effective coordination and integration of the kit into existing programs. Ensure that inclusion, gender sensitivity, disability inclusion, child safeguarding, ethics, and data protection are integrated into all training and field support activities. Support the sustainability of the ADOLESCENT KIT approach beyond the consultancy period.
Work Experience
At least 7 years of confirmed professional experience in capacity building, training of trainers, facilitation, and/or institutional support related to life skills, non-formal education, adolescent development, psychosocial support, or youth empowerment. Demonstrated experience in designing and delivering training for public-sector cadres, trainers, youth workers, educators, social workers, or frontline actors. Proven experience in producing training materials, methodological tools, facilitation guides, evaluation tools, and capitalization reports.
