Job Purpose
UNICEF Papua New Guinea is establishing a roster of consultant experts in design and multimedia to support its mission of promoting the rights and well-being of every child. The Country Office regularly produces high-quality graphics and audiovisual materials to document key issues related to children's rights and ongoing programmes. This roster will serve as a human resources repository, enabling UNICEF to quickly engage pre-vetted, qualified specialists for assignments. The purpose is to ensure a consistent supply of compelling visual content that showcases the impact of UNICEF's programs, initiatives, and advocacy efforts, thereby raising awareness, inspiring action, and driving positive change for children.
Responsibilities
The selected consultants will be responsible for producing regular and compelling visual content, including graphics, videos, and photographs, that effectively showcase the impact of UNICEF's programs, initiatives, and advocacy efforts in Papua New Guinea. They will work closely with UNICEF's Advocacy and Communication Team to ensure all produced materials align with UNICEF’s branding standards, guidelines, and child safeguarding principles. Key responsibilities include conceptualizing and creating engaging multimedia packages such as publications, flyers, advocacy and programme briefs, videos, b-roll, and animations. The incumbents will utilize their own equipment, including software and accessories, as travel for content gathering is managed by UNICEF PNG. The role requires a strong understanding of visual storytelling to help raise awareness, inspire action, and drive positive change for children, contributing to the overarching goals of the UNICEF PNG Country Programme.
Work Experience
A minimum of two years of relevant professional experience in graphic design, video editing, videography, or photography is required. Experience in creating visual content for development or humanitarian organizations is an asset.
