Job Purpose
The purpose of this consultancy is to facilitate and coordinate the DPGs at Scale community and translate existing work into practical, decision-ready outputs. The consultant will support the development of an operating model for DPGs at Scale, a productized DPG service offering, cost-efficiency options, knowledge products, and structured inputs for senior management. This role is crucial for advancing the DPGs at Scale initiative, strengthening sustainability, efficiency, and scale across UNICEF’s DPG portfolio by building on existing foundations and consolidating, refining, and further developing this work into clear, actionable outputs. The consultant will work closely with various UNICEF teams and stakeholders to achieve these objectives.
Responsibilities
The consultant will be responsible for facilitating and coordinating the DPGs at Scale Working Group (WG) and community, ensuring effective collaboration and communication among stakeholders. A key responsibility is the development of a comprehensive DPGs at Scale operating model and the creation of structured inputs for senior management, providing clear recommendations and strategic direction. The consultant will also focus on developing a productized DPG service offering, making these valuable resources more accessible and scalable. Identifying cost-efficiency and effectiveness opportunities within the DPGs at Scale initiative is another critical area of responsibility, aiming to optimize resource utilization. Furthermore, the consultant will lead knowledge management efforts, documenting good practices and lessons learned, and ensuring cross-cutting consolidation and synthesis of information to support continuous improvement and strategic decision-making across UNICEF's digital public goods portfolio.
Work Experience
Minimum of five years of relevant professional experience in digital transformation, technology for development, innovation, open source, Digital Public Goods, product management, programme coordination, or complex multi-stakeholder initiatives. Demonstrated experience facilitating working groups, communities of practice, stakeholder consultations, or cross-functional collaboration processes is required.
