Job Purpose
The Graphic Design Consultant will provide specialized graphic design and visual production support to the Education Cannot Wait (ECW) Secretariat. This role is crucial for producing high-quality design outputs across various ECW initiatives, including flagship publications, replenishment campaigns, event branding, and brand oversight, ensuring strict adherence to ECW’s visual identity and brand guidelines. The consultant will be responsible for designing and producing ECW communications and advocacy materials, focusing exclusively on graphic design and visual production. This encompasses the layout and design of key documents such as flagship publications, executive summaries, data visualizations, infographics, campaign materials, and event branding packages. All created assets must align with ECW brand guidelines and be delivered in formats suitable for both print and digital distribution as required.
Responsibilities
Design and produce high-quality graphic assets for ECW's flagship publications, ensuring alignment with brand guidelines and print/digital requirements. Develop visually compelling data visualizations and infographics to communicate complex information effectively. Create engaging campaign materials and event branding packages that enhance ECW's visibility and impact. Provide brand oversight, ensuring consistency and adherence to ECW's visual identity across all communication channels. Collaborate with the ECW Secretariat to understand project needs and deliver design solutions that meet objectives. Manage multiple design projects simultaneously, prioritizing tasks and meeting tight deadlines. Prepare final artwork for both print and digital platforms, ensuring optimal quality and format. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of design trends and best practices to enhance the visual communication of ECW's work. Support the development of brand guidelines and ensure their consistent application. Contribute to the overall visual strategy of ECW's advocacy and communication efforts.
Work Experience
Minimum of 10 years of professional experience in graphic design, preferably with multilateral organizations, international NGOs, or comparable institutions. Proven expertise in publication design, data visualization, digital/print production, and brand identity systems.
