Job Purpose

The Fundraising Specialist (Individual Giving) plays a vital role in the IG team, supporting key private fundraising markets on their IG strategy and performance. The role holder is pivotal in steering their portfolio of markets towards achieving sustainable net revenue growth, preferably unrestricted, and supporting an aligned approach to the IG global strategy. Acting as an IG Country Focal Point, this role will support markets in their portfolio as they shift to increased ambition levels, future proofed strategies, mitigating risks and increasing efficiency. Based in Europe, the role holder also collaborates with other headquarters functions, providing strategic leadership, defining in collaboration with markets the pathway for growth, and aligning priorities and approach with IG specialists dedicated to these markets.

Responsibilities

The role focuses on a group of key fundraising markets, providing direct market support and development on IG programs and strategies. This involves coordination with colleagues across the IG teams in the markets, and in headquarter or regional functions, internal UNICEF stakeholders, and global consultants. The main tasks are as follows: Place the assigned portfolio of markets in the strongest position to deliver ambitious sustainable net growth in long term income, with a focus on increasing the proportion of unrestricted income to support UNICEF’s work globally. Act as the IG country focal point for the assigned portfolio of markets, working in collaboration with global and markets’ teams guiding and delivering a strategic approach to Individual Giving. Provide strategic leadership to markets, inspiring and aligning them with the global Individual Giving approach.
