Job Purpose
The purpose of this assignment is critical to the design and development of a robust, evidence-based Career Guidance Model for the Albanian education system. The National Consultant will closely collaborate with the International Consultant on Career Guidance on the design and contextualization of the model under the programme “Life Skills improved through their Integration in Upper Secondary Education Curricula and Careers Guidance introduced in the School System”. The consultant will ensure that the model is tailored to the Albanian context, including contextualizing key components, implementation modalities, institutional roles, and sustainability mechanisms to support the effective integration of career guidance into the education system, ultimately contributing to improved school-to-work transition outcomes for young people. The National Career Guidance consultant is also expected to closely coordinate with the International Expert working on the Career Guidance model, framework, designing the Training of Trainers (ToT), deliver the training and follow up.
Responsibilities
The National Consultant will closely collaborate with the International Consultant on Career Guidance on the design and contextualization of the model under the programme “Life Skills improved through their Integration in Upper Secondary Education Curricula and Careers Guidance introduced in the School System”. The consultant will ensure that the model is tailored to the Albanian context. This includes contextualizing key components, implementation modalities, institutional roles, and sustainability mechanisms to support the effective integration of career guidance into the education system, ultimately contributing to improved school-to-work transition outcomes for young people. The National Career Guidance consultant is also expected to closely coordinate with the International Expert working on the Career Guidance model, framework, designing the Training of Trainers (ToT), deliver the training and follow up. The National Consultant is expected to closely work and create synergies with the work conducted in parallel by another team of Experts working on Life Skills in the framework of this project. The consultant will also be responsible for developing analytical reports, policy briefs, and education frameworks related to career guidance in Albania.
Work Experience
At least 7 years of relevant professional experience in career guidance, education systems development, or related fields. Proven experience in designing and/or implementing career guidance systems or programmes within the Albanian education systems. Experience in policy analysis, education reform, system strengthening, qualitative research, and developing analytical reports and policy briefs.
