Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DEI) Digital Content Consultant, 3 months, Rome, Italy remotely (Italian nationals only)

Job Purpose

Under the overall guidance of the Adolescent Development Manager, the Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DEI) Digital Content Consultant will assist in the production and management of digital content and delivery of training programmes to raise awareness, educate, and foster inclusive practices in addressing discrimination. This work will contribute to the implementation of the National Response in Italy programme in support to the protection and social inclusion of Unaccompanied and Separated Children (UASC) and young migrants and refugees. The consultant will be responsible for developing engaging digital content and facilitating training sessions that promote understanding and acceptance of diversity, equity, and inclusion principles among various stakeholders, including staff, partners, and beneficiaries.

Responsibilities

The Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DEI) Digital Content Consultant will be responsible for developing and implementing a digital content strategy aligned with UNICEF's DEI objectives. This includes creating compelling written, visual, and multimedia content for various platforms, such as social media, websites, and internal communications. The consultant will also design and deliver training modules on DEI topics, adapting content to suit different audiences and learning styles. Key responsibilities include managing the content calendar, ensuring brand consistency, and monitoring the effectiveness of digital campaigns. The consultant will collaborate with internal teams and external partners to gather information, identify best practices, and promote inclusive narratives. Additionally, the consultant will support the National Response in Italy programme by developing content and training materials that address the specific needs of Unaccompanied and Separated Children (UASC) and young migrants and refugees, fostering their social inclusion and protection.

Work Experience

A minimum of 3 years of experience in digital mobilization and educational activities with adolescents and youth from disadvantaged backgrounds. Proven track record in design and delivery of training for adults; experience working with web-based platforms, managing websites; and demonstrated experience working with refugees, migrants, asylum seekers, and internally displaced groups.
