Job Purpose
The Safe Online team has a decade of impact in child online protection and is expanding its scope into children's wellbeing in the digital age. The team has built a strong foundation for resource mobilization, including a financing narrative, engagement through the Coalition for Financing of Safe Digital Futures, a robust evidence base, and active donor relationships. This consultancy aims to translate these assets into systematic outreach that secures new funding commitments for the next replenishment cycle, with a particular focus on the European philanthropy and partnership landscape. The consultant will work in close partnership with the Safe Online team, guided by the Executive Director, to develop outreach-ready formats and engage in concrete funder conversations.
Responsibilities
The consultant will be responsible for developing and executing a strategic outreach plan to secure new funding commitments from European philanthropy and partnerships. This includes translating the Safe Online team's existing assets, such as their financing narrative and evidence base, into compelling pitch materials and funder conversations. The consultant will leverage their network access within the European landscape to identify and engage potential donors. Key activities will involve direct engagement with potential funders, developing tailored proposals, and contributing to the overall resource mobilization strategy for the Safe Online initiative. The consultant will work closely with the Safe Online team and the Executive Director, ensuring alignment with the team's objectives and the broader UNICEF fundraising goals. This role requires proactive engagement, strong communication skills, and the ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders.
Work Experience
At least 5 years of professional experience in strategic resource mobilization. Relevant experience within the UN system, other multilateral organizations, or Public-Private Partnerships is an asset.
