Individual Consultant - (Maldivian National) long term agreement to provide photography and videography services for UNICEF Maldives’ programme areas and events.

The Maldives Country Office is enhancing its communication, advocacy, and resource mobilization efforts to advance children's wellbeing, aligning with UNICEF's Strategic Plan. This includes focusing on priority issues like the 'adolescent challenge' and leveraging high-quality multimedia content for strategic, multi-platform dissemination to influence public discourse and drive action.

Job Purpose

The primary purpose of this Long-Term Agreement (LTA) is to establish a qualified roster of individual consultants to provide professional photography and videography services to UNICEF Maldives on an as-needed basis. UNICEF retains the discretion to commission services through individual call-off purchase orders or contracts, with no obligation for minimum volume. The specific objectives include ensuring comprehensive professional photographic and videography coverage for UNICEF Maldives-supported initiatives and events during 2026-2027. This also entails providing high-quality photographic content aligned with UNICEF Maldives’ advocacy and programme priorities, capturing the voices of children, adolescents, young people, and their families for use across digital, web, and print platforms such as social media, newsletters, and banners. Furthermore, the LTA aims to facilitate the development of compelling video content to amplify and promote key messages from UNICEF’s advocacy and programme priority areas on digital and web platforms, specifically targeting young people, parents, and communities.

Responsibilities

The consultant will be responsible for providing professional photography and videography services, delivering high-quality, on-demand visual content to UNICEF Maldives. This includes documenting programme implementation, advocacy initiatives, donor reporting, emergency responses, and official events across the country. Key tasks involve capturing programme results, compelling human-interest stories, partnerships, and significant events to support a digital-first storytelling approach. The content produced will enhance national and global visibility, particularly on platforms like websites and social media, enabling the office to effectively engage diverse audiences, including policymakers, partners, donors, and the general public. Furthermore, the consultant will ensure professional photographic and videography coverage of UNICEF Maldives-supported initiatives and events for 2026-2027. This involves capturing the everyday voices of children, adolescents, young people, and their families in line with advocacy and programme priorities, for use in digital, web, and print materials such as social media, newsletters, banners, and backdrops. The role also requires developing video content to amplify and promote key messages of UNICEF’s advocacy and programme priority areas on digital and web platforms, specifically targeting young people, parents, and communities.

Work Experience

A minimum of three years of proven experience in providing professional photography and videography services is required. Candidates must also demonstrate experience in documenting programmes, events, field activities, or campaigns, particularly within development, humanitarian, or non-profit contexts.
