Job Purpose
UNICEF is seeking a highly skilled Senior Data and Systems Management Consultant to oversee and optimize its data management processes and technological infrastructure. This comprehensive role is crucial for ensuring efficient data operations and safeguarding UNICEF's systems against potential threats. The consultant will be responsible for enhancing system security by implementing new measures and protocols to protect against potential threats and unauthorized access. They will also ensure the accuracy and integrity of data through auditing and cleansing processes, provide support on payment processes and system integration with Artificial Intelligence, and track and monitor performance issues to optimize system performance and ensure smooth operations, addressing any infrastructure-related challenges that may arise.
Responsibilities
The Senior Data and System Management Consultant will be responsible for enhancing system security by implementing new measures and protocols to protect against potential threats and unauthorized access. This includes developing and enforcing security policies and procedures. The consultant will ensure the accuracy and integrity of data through rigorous auditing and cleansing processes, establishing data governance frameworks and quality assurance mechanisms. A key responsibility will be to provide support on payment processes and system integration with Artificial Intelligence, exploring innovative solutions to streamline financial operations. Furthermore, the consultant will track and monitor performance issues to optimize system performance and ensure smooth operations, addressing any infrastructure-related challenges that may arise. This involves performance tuning, capacity planning, and troubleshooting. The consultant will also be expected to document all processes, provide training to relevant staff, and contribute to the overall strategic planning of data and system management within the organization.
Work Experience
Minimum of 10 years of progressively responsible professional experience in data management, systems administration and security, networking, application development, and Azure cloud computing platforms. A minimum of 3 years of that experience must be within non-governmental organizations (NGOs). Additionally, at least 3 years of hands-on practical experience with Microsoft Azure services is required.
