Job Purpose

The purpose of this consultancy is to provide specialized technical assistance and methodological support to the Ministry of Health of the Province of Santa Fe. This support aims to contribute to the effective implementation of the provincial Complementary Feeding Guide, which was developed in collaboration with UNICEF in 2025. The consultant will play a key role in ensuring the successful rollout and adoption of these guidelines, thereby enhancing nutritional outcomes for children in the province. This involves working closely with local health authorities and stakeholders to adapt and apply the guide in a practical and sustainable manner.

Responsibilities

Provide technical assistance and methodological support to the Ministry of Health of the Province of Santa Fe for the implementation of the provincial Complementary Feeding Guide. Collaborate with provincial health authorities to develop strategies and action plans for the effective dissemination and application of the guide. Facilitate workshops and training sessions for health professionals and community workers on the use of the guide. Monitor the implementation process, identify challenges, and propose solutions. Collect and analyze data related to the implementation of the guide and its impact on child nutrition. Prepare regular progress reports and a final report detailing activities, outcomes, and recommendations. Ensure alignment of implementation activities with UNICEF's broader nutrition and child health objectives. Liaise with relevant stakeholders, including government officials, academic institutions, and NGOs, to foster collaboration and coordination. Contribute to the adaptation of the guide based on local context and feedback received during implementation.

Work Experience

Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in coordinating or being part of a core team in the development of food-based dietary guidelines. Minimum 5 years of experience in developing strategies with governments. Previous experience in projects with United Nations System organizations. Previous experience in coordinating diverse actors (governments, universities, NGOs).
