Job Purpose
The Senior Data Analyst Associate will play a key role in strengthening and advancing the GSSC data architecture through statistical and advanced analytics. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced data professional to work with diverse internal and external datasets to design, develop, test, deploy, and continuously improve analytical and predictive models that support both strategic and operational decision-making. The role combines statistical thinking, business understanding, and hands-on analytics to solve complex operational challenges. It requires the ability to translate business context into data-driven questions and develop practical analytical solutions that create measurable value. Responsibilities include developing and maintaining a range of statistical and predictive modelling approaches, including explanatory variable-based models, time series models, and hybrid models that combine temporal patterns with external drivers. The role also involves translating complex analytical findings into actionable insights for stakeholders.
Responsibilities
Design, develop, test, deploy, and continuously improve analytical and predictive models using statistical and advanced analytics techniques. Work with diverse internal and external datasets to extract meaningful insights and support strategic and operational decision-making. Translate business context into data-driven questions and develop practical analytical solutions that create measurable value. Develop and maintain a range of statistical and predictive modelling approaches, including explanatory variable-based models, time series models, and hybrid models. Analyze complex operational challenges and provide data-driven solutions. Communicate complex analytical findings clearly and concisely to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Collaborate with various teams within the GSSC and other UNICEF offices to understand data needs and deliver relevant analytical products. Ensure data quality and integrity throughout the analytical process. Stay updated with the latest trends and technologies in data analytics and machine learning. Contribute to the development and enhancement of the GSSC data architecture and analytics capabilities.
Work Experience
A minimum of 4 years of relevant professional experience in data analysis, statistical modeling, and predictive analytics is required. Experience with large datasets and data visualization tools is essential. Experience in an international organization or UN system is an asset.
