Job Purpose

The primary function of this post is to connect analytics, monitoring, and learning to support evidence-based advocacy, conduct visualizations, and serve as a knowledge broker to improve results for children. This role provides leadership, oversight, and technical capacity for the responsible analysis and use of data and information within UNICEF and with its partners. It includes providing technical support to field offices in their data and information analysis work to inform policy changes. The goal is to position UNICEF as an evidence broker for children and young people in the region by valuing, disseminating, and synthesizing knowledge and promoting its use.

Responsibilities

Key functions, accountabilities, and related duties include: Data analysis, data visualization, and advocacy; Innovation and frontier data utilization; Ensuring data responsiveness to emergencies; Capacity building for data analysis and utilization; Knowledge management and dissemination. This involves supporting the Pakistan Country Office in leveraging data from activities like MICS and CLS for in-depth analysis, fostering policy dialogue, and driving policy changes. The role requires strong capacity to interface with partners, academics, policymakers, and UN sister agencies to effectively communicate and utilize data insights for the benefit of children and young people.
