Job Purpose

The internship program at the UNICEF DRC office aims to provide a structured professional immersion for young students or recent graduates (within the last two years), aged 20 to 30, to enhance their skills and employability. The intern will support the Education Specialist in developing school dashboards and analyzing statistical data. This role involves collecting and processing statistical data, designing appropriate dashboards, defining key indicators, automating dashboard creation, analyzing and interpreting statistical data, and presenting results clearly. This internship offers a valuable opportunity to gain practical experience in information management and data analysis within a leading international organization focused on child welfare.

Responsibilities

Under the direct supervision of the Education Specialist, the intern will be responsible for the development of school dashboards and the analysis of statistical data. Key roles and responsibilities include: collecting and processing statistical data from various sources; designing and creating user-friendly dashboards tailored to specific needs; defining and tracking key performance indicators for educational programs; automating the process of dashboard generation to improve efficiency; analyzing and interpreting statistical data to identify trends and insights; and presenting findings in a clear, concise, and actionable format. The intern will also assist in maintaining data integrity and ensuring the accuracy of reports. This position requires close collaboration with team members and adherence to UNICEF's data management protocols. The intern will contribute to evidence-based decision-making for UNICEF's education programs in the DRC.

Work Experience

No specific work experience is required, but a good understanding of UNICEF or other UN agencies is considered an asset. The internship is designed for students or recent graduates to gain practical experience.
