Job Purpose
UNICEF has been working in Lao PDR continuously since 1973, implementing one of UNICEF’s largest country programmes worldwide. The organization works tirelessly to promote the rights of children and women and to bring basic services – education, health, nutrition, protection, water and sanitation – to those most in need. More than 70 dedicated staff members work to make positive and lasting changes for Lao PDR's most vulnerable children and to ensure they remain a priority for the international community. This role supports UNICEF's mission to promote and protect the rights of children and women in Lao PDR.
Responsibilities
This role involves significant responsibilities in data analysis, budget tracking, reporting, and coordination with internal and external stakeholders to ensure effective programme delivery and compliance with organizational policies. The Programme Associate will exercise sound judgment, anticipate needs, and recommend actions that contribute to programme planning, implementation, and reporting of results. Key responsibilities include Project Management and Implementing Partnership Coordination, Data Management, Analysis & Reporting, Grant Management, Budget Monitoring and Reporting, Digital Innovation & Operational Efficiency, Communication, Knowledge Sharing and Dissemination, Capacity Building & Event Coordination, and providing Flexibility & Surge Support.
