Job Purpose
The consultant will be responsible for supporting the development, adaptation, and design of Social and Behaviour Change (SBC) assets, interventions, and advocacy resources related to health and immunization. This role involves translating technical concepts into user-friendly, audience-appropriate formats, ensuring clarity, consistency, and alignment with UNICEF branding and quality standards. The consultant will also support the creation of visual assets to enhance understanding and usability of materials, review and improve existing materials for coherence and accuracy, and incorporate feedback from stakeholders into content and design products. The ultimate goal is to contribute to effective SBC strategies that promote health and immunization outcomes.
Responsibilities
The consultant will be responsible for developing and adapting content for SBC resources and interventions, ensuring they are clear, consistent, and aligned with UNICEF branding and quality standards. This includes designing and formatting interventions to be user-friendly and audience-appropriate. A key part of the role involves translating complex technical concepts into easily understandable formats. The consultant will also support the development of visual assets such as infographics, templates, and slide decks to enhance the comprehension and usability of materials. Additionally, the consultant will be tasked with reviewing and improving existing materials to ensure coherence, accuracy, and effectiveness. Incorporating feedback from internal and external stakeholders into content and design products will be crucial for iterative improvement. The consultant will also contribute to the development of SBC resources aimed at addressing vaccine hesitancy and promoting healthy behaviours.
Work Experience
At least 5 years of work experience in social and behaviour change communication for immunization and other health topics. Proven experience in developing visual assets and using design software (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, etc.). Familiarity with Canva is required. Experience working with the UN, ideally UNICEF, is also required.
