Job Purpose
The National Intern - Social Media will support the Communication team in managing UNICEF Cambodia's social media presence. This role is crucial for enhancing the organization's credibility and brand, contributing to UNICEF's mission and objectives in the country. The intern will play a key part in digital communication efforts, ensuring that UNICEF's work for children is effectively communicated to a wider audience. This position offers an opportunity to gain practical experience in social media management within a leading international organization dedicated to child rights.
Responsibilities
Support the Communication team in the day-to-day management of UNICEF Cambodia's social media platforms, including content scheduling, posting, and monitoring. Assist in the creation of engaging social media content, such as text posts, images, and simple videos, tailored to different platforms and target audiences. Help track and analyze social media performance metrics, providing insights to inform future strategies. Contribute to the development of social media campaigns and initiatives aimed at raising awareness about children's rights and UNICEF's programmes in Cambodia. Monitor social media trends and best practices to identify opportunities for innovation and engagement. Ensure all social media activities align with UNICEF's brand guidelines and communication policies. Provide support in responding to comments and messages on social media channels, fostering community interaction. Assist in coordinating with other UNICEF sections and partners for content gathering and dissemination. Help maintain an organized system for social media assets and content calendars. Participate in team meetings and contribute ideas for improving UNICEF's digital communication outreach.
Work Experience
No specific work experience is required, but a strong commitment and passion for UNICEF’s mission are essential. Familiarity with social media platforms and basic content creation is beneficial.
