Job Purpose

The purpose of this assignment is to provide technical and related support to the Department of Basic Education’s ECD Directorate. This includes strengthening and maintaining knowledge and professional development support systems within the early learning sector. Key activities involve expanding and managing the ECD Information Hub as a dynamic knowledge and advocacy platform, migrating, implementing, developing content for, and ensuring the sustainability of digital ECD platforms like ECDmobi and the P.L.A.Y. online in-service training. Additionally, the role entails identifying and sharing key knowledge products on early learning through play in an accessible and effective manner to all stakeholders, ensuring that critical information reaches relevant parties.

Responsibilities

Provide technical and related support to the Department of Basic Education’s ECD Directorate. Strengthen and maintain knowledge and professional development support systems within the early learning sector. Expand and manage the ECD Information Hub as a dynamic knowledge and advocacy platform. Oversee the migration, implementation, content development, and sustainability of digital ECD platforms, including ECDmobi and the P.L.A.Y. online in-service training. Identify and share key knowledge products on early learning through play in an accessible and effective manner to all stakeholders. Ensure that all digital platforms are up-to-date and user-friendly. Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to gather relevant information and content. Develop and implement strategies for effective knowledge dissemination. Monitor and evaluate the impact of knowledge products and digital platforms. Prepare reports on activities and outcomes related to knowledge management and digital support systems.

Work Experience

A minimum of 4 years of relevant professional experience is required in areas such as digital content development, knowledge management, communications, or management of online platforms.
