Job Purpose
The Market Research Manager will contribute to increasing UNICEF fundraising net revenues, private sector engagement, and both communication and advocacy effectiveness. This role will achieve this by designing, conducting, and interpreting research to produce actionable insights that inform decision-making within Fundraising and Communications departments. The position will influence and make recommendations for key teams in HQ functions, as well as collaborate with key markets to ensure the effective use of audience and market insights. The role holder is responsible for establishing research plans, contributing to the Audience & Market Insights (AMI) general strategy, and overseeing work progress to ensure the achievement of goals according to plans, resource allocation, and strategies.
Responsibilities
The Market Research Manager is accountable for managing market research projects, playing a key role in the formulation of UNICEF and Private Fundraising and Partnerships (PFP) strategies, and supporting the operationalizing of insights across UNICEF. This includes ensuring the growth in the effective use of audience and market insight for all relevant audiences. The role holder will establish research plans, contribute to the AMI general strategy, and oversee work progress to ensure the achievement of goals according to plans, resource allocation, and strategies. The position will also involve collaborating with National Committees, Regional Offices, and in-market teams responsible for fundraising and communication decisions, providing them with the necessary research and insights to enhance their efforts and drive growth in private sector engagement and fundraising effectiveness.
Work Experience
A minimum of five years of professional experience in market research, insights generation, or a related field, with a focus on fundraising, marketing, or communications. Experience in the non-profit sector or international organizations is desirable.
