Job Purpose
This consultancy supports UNICEF Egypt’s “Nourishing Futures” programme (2025–2030) by engaging a Gender Expert to conduct a comprehensive Gender-Based Analysis Plus (GBA Plus). The primary purpose is to strengthen gender equality outcomes across maternal and girls’ nutrition interventions. The Gender Expert will identify gender-specific and intersectional gaps, barriers, and opportunities within the programme components. They will assess alignment with UNICEF GAP principles and Canada’s Gender Equality Checklist and FIAP outcomes. Furthermore, the role involves recommending concrete, measurable gender-responsive and transformative actions, indicators, and monitoring mechanisms to ensure effective implementation and impact.
Responsibilities
The Gender Expert will conduct a comprehensive Gender-Based Analysis Plus (GBA Plus) to strengthen gender equality outcomes within UNICEF Egypt’s “Nourishing Futures” programme (2025–2030). This involves identifying gender-specific and intersectional gaps, barriers, and opportunities across all programme components. The expert will assess the programme's alignment with UNICEF GAP principles and Canada’s Gender Equality Checklist and FIAP outcomes. Key responsibilities include developing concrete, measurable, gender-responsive, and transformative actions, indicators, and monitoring mechanisms. Work Experience
Minimum of 7 years of experience in gender analysis and mainstreaming within development programmes.
