Job Purpose
Under the guidance of the Communication Specialist and in coordination with the ADAP programme, the Partnership Intern will assist in designing a partnership concept aimed at engaging diaspora Generation Z and Generation Alpha audiences in fundraising and advocacy for UNICEF. The Intern will further contribute to initiatives engaging young people in Armenia to promote climate action and strengthen youth center activities. The fundamental mission of UNICEF is to promote the rights of every child, everywhere, in everything the organization does — in programs, in advocacy and in operations. The equity strategy, emphasizing the most disadvantaged and excluded children and families, translates this commitment to children’s rights into action.
Responsibilities
The Partnership Intern will support the Communication Specialist in developing a partnership concept targeting diaspora Generation Z and Generation Alpha audiences for fundraising and advocacy. This includes researching engagement strategies, identifying potential outreach channels, and contributing to the design of campaign materials. The intern will also assist in implementing initiatives focused on engaging young people in Armenia to promote climate action, which may involve coordinating with youth centers, supporting event planning, and documenting activities. Additionally, the intern will contribute to strengthening youth center activities by providing support for program development and implementation. The role involves collaborating with internal teams and potentially external partners to ensure alignment with UNICEF's goals and objectives. The intern will also assist in monitoring and reporting on the progress of partnership initiatives and youth engagement activities, ensuring that all activities are conducted in accordance with UNICEF's policies and procedures.
Work Experience
Previous experience in partnership development, fundraising, or youth engagement is an asset. Experience working with international organizations or in a multicultural environment is desirable.
