Job Purpose

As a Strategic Business Partner and Deputy to the Representative, the incumbent will be responsible for leading the operations functions to achieve results, drive change, provide risk-informed, solution-focused analysis, advice and services, and contribute to programme and management decisions for delivering results for children in all operational contexts. This role is crucial in ensuring the efficient and effective management of all operational aspects within the country programme, supporting the Representative in strategic decision-making and office management.

Responsibilities

Leading by example and supporting the Representative on managing the office. Acting as Officer-in-Charge in the absence of the Representative. Providing oversight of the Operations function to ensure effective and efficient management of all functions including Administration, Budget, Finance, Digital Impact, and Supply Chain. Acting as a convener and contributor to Risk Management, ensuring compliance with policies and procedures, including on safety and security. Ensuring processes are in place to identify, promote, and empower staff potential through career development, stretch assignments, and succession planning. Serving as a member of the Country and Senior Management Teams, representing organizational risk, governance systems, and policy perspectives in management discussions, and promoting results-based management. Understanding business needs for the Country Programme to anticipate challenges, propose viable solutions, and provide creative and innovative ideas for a solution-focused approach, including value-for-money strategies, all underpinned by quality assurance measures. Providing key contributions to CPD, CPMP, AMP, and supporting Results-Based Management and implementation using Value for Money criteria. Driving innovations by leveraging technology to support the delivery of results for children, promoting effective adoption of tools and Digital Impact Management fundamentals. Leading external and internal communications related to operations.

Work Experience

A minimum of eight years of professional experience in operations management, finance, administration, or a related field is required. Experience in a developing country context is an asset.
