Job Purpose
The Fund Raising Specialist will work to enable strategic growth of private philanthropy among High Net Worth Individuals and foundations in the Asia Region. The post-holder will also support the cultivation and solicitation of the highest value donors for UNICEF in the region. This role will craft and lead capacity building opportunities for country offices to ensure they have the best resources and tools to increase revenue growth in Private Sector Fundraising (PSFR) country offices. The Private Sector Fundraising (PSFR) section within the Private Fundraising & Partnerships (PFP) works with UNICEF country offices to maximize income and drive income growth globally. The Global Philanthropy team serves as the global strategic lead for fundraising and partnerships with High Net Worth Individuals and family foundations.
Responsibilities
The post-holder will report to the Partnerships Manager, Asia Pacific Regional Office (APRO) in Bangkok, whose mission is to drive the growth of high value philanthropic partnerships in the Asia region. As a member of the Regional Support Centre (RSC) team, the post-holder will have particular responsibilities to ensure effective communication, strong collaboration, and work towards aligned priorities. Key responsibilities include HWNI Prospect Identification and Cultivation. Under the direction of the Partnerships Manager and working closely with CO philanthropy specialists and Regional Office Market Development colleagues, the post-holder will provide strategic guidance and support the development of high value and realistic prospect lists of HWNI potential donors in each PSFR CO with key attributes of Ability, Accessibility, and Affinity.
Work Experience
A minimum of three years of professional experience in fundraising, donor relations, or a related field, with a focus on high-value donors or philanthropic foundations.
