The Division of Private Sector Fundraising and Partnerships (PFP) aims to maximize UNICEF's private fundraising, partnerships, and engagement activities, including work with National Committees.
Job Purpose
The National Committee Relations Specialist (Executive Manager) will serve as the primary interface for managing the UNICEF–National Committee strategic partnership and collaborative relationship. This role operates within the framework of the Cooperation Agreement and UNICEF’s regulatory standards. The specialist is responsible for ensuring effective working relationships with National Committees (NatComs) to maximize the value of these partnerships. The goal is to increase income and influence, thereby increasing the impact on children's lives, aligning with UNICEF's Strategic Plan and PFP's Office Management Plan.
Responsibilities
Manage and strengthen strategic partnerships with National Committees (NatComs) to enhance their effectiveness and contribution to UNICEF's global goals. Serve as the main point of contact for NatComs, ensuring clear communication and alignment with UNICEF's objectives and policies. Oversee the implementation of Cooperation Agreements, ensuring compliance with UNICEF's regulatory standards and best practices. Develop and execute strategies to maximize private fundraising, partnerships, and engagement activities through NatComs in high-income countries. Monitor the performance of NatComs, providing guidance and support to improve their fundraising and advocacy efforts. Facilitate knowledge sharing and best practices between UNICEF and NatComs. Contribute to the development and implementation of PFP's Office Management Plan and UNICEF's Strategic Plan. Analyze trends in private sector fundraising and partnerships to identify opportunities for growth and innovation. Prepare reports and presentations on the status of National Committee relations and their contributions to UNICEF's mission. Foster a collaborative and results-oriented relationship with NatComs to achieve greater impact for children.
Work Experience
A minimum of five years of professional experience in international relations, partnership management, fundraising, or a related field, with a focus on external relations and stakeholder engagement. Experience working with National Committees or similar non-profit organizations is highly desirable.
